Cross Oak Road transforms a solid but architecturally understated house into a more distinctive and considered family home. At the front, a new porch, refined fenestration and carefully integrated detailing give the property a stronger identity while maintaining a sensitive relationship with the surrounding street.

To the rear, the architecture becomes more contemporary and expressive. Brick slips laid in stretcher bond and herringbone patterns introduce texture, while arched windows soften the angular form of the formal dining room. Corner glazing wraps around the playroom, drawing in natural light and creating an uninterrupted connection with the garden.

The landscaping steps gradually away from the house, creating a playful sequence of levels while preserving views from the principal rooms. Together, the extension and landscape establish a more open relationship between the house and garden, balancing a contextual front elevation with a confident contemporary rear.
